[Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! It is a time of generosity, and so Vietnam would very much like to share this. During work at the Honeybee Bakery Cafe, your assistant manager will be leaving a basket full of goodies for you at the back. One will discover some bánh quy bơ quế (butter cookies with the best Vietnamese cinnamon she can get her hands on), and an assortment of mứt (candied fruit preserves) for the New Year. A card is included:]

[Ah, how adorable! Cheria hadn't been expecting to see this beautifully presented basket of goodies -- she'd only turned around for a second after all, and for a second she thought maybe someone forgot to put it up for display.

When she reads the card though, she can see that it's for her.

And she smiles, dashing out of the kitchen for a moment to find Vietnam, who's most likely just left, with more baskets in hand to hand out to the others.

[Ah, the ninja-ing around was almost perfect! Cheria's timing was even more so though, as Vietnam turns around once she heard Cheria's voice, and waved her hand, a small smile on her face.]

I know it must be a little unusual to give a talented baker such as yourself baked goods, but I hope you will enjoy these, just something from where I am from.

[Merry Christmas, Cheria! Setsuna left a gift box with a shade of light red. It's wrapped with a white ribbon, with a handwritten "To: Cheria Barnes" card attached.

Inside, she'll be able to find this cute compact mirror, as well as a girl's diary. The diary comes with a pink pencil and a cake eraser!

There's a white flower on top of the gifts, as well as a handwritten note:]

I wish to take this opportunity to thank you. Ever since you have started working as part of the kitchen staff, many things have changed for the better. Days are brighter, the work more bearable. I appreciate all of the effort that you always place.

Merry Christmas to you, too! I just opened your present, and I absolutely love everything that you got me. The mirror will be a perfect fit for my purse, and to be honest, I've never even considered keeping a diary before.

Maybe now that I have one, I will.

The eraser is cute, too -- I almost don't want to use it! But again, thank you so much.

[ cheria is still rather shaken from the feed. it's a night she actually regrets having the habit of browsing the network before bed, though not enough so to stop. because really, missing something like this, even until the morning after would be... just awful!

there were even a couple faces she recognizes, though no one from lhant... and when she gets pascal's text, it's a relief. so much so that she forgoes replying in the same manner: she initiates a video feed instead. ]

[ just a brief outburst, but cheria lets out a relieved breath. the video is pretty dimly lit, but regardless, she goes on. she needs to hear her voice...

[On the kitchen table, there are two bundles wrapped with paper and a ribbon, marked for "Mom" and "Sophie", and "From: Natsuru and Max". It was actually Natsuru's idea, but Max was involved, so she thought it was only right to include her on the label.

Inside the wrapped bundles are a few green tea cookies with strawberry icing. They're not picture-perfect, but they're not burnt and came out tasting alright!

Enclosed with the cookies is a small note:]
